The collection proposed by Elisabeth Colard is very valuable tool in order to promote the study of those orchestral excerpts or passages in which the harp plays an important role.

The way in which these extracts have been edited favors an immediate comprehension on the part of the student, in the sense that, no matter how well they are played, they only make sense if they are interpreted within the
work’s larger context.

With this in mind, all of the careful indications included in this volume serve to motivate and undoubtedly enrich the work which will be done in order to achieve optimal results.
